I stepped into Printemps, France’s fashionable department store. A pink voile, fluffy tea dress beaded and embroidered with delectable butterflies never left my mind. Pink butterflies and crystals inspired these.

As I passed the Parisian window, House of Chanel, I knew costume jewelry of the 30’s had a huge effect on style. It isn’t me, yet when these parts came together, I saw how unique a look it must have created. Deep blue of the ocean with pearls seemed natural.

Chandelier earrings hit the Paris cat walk in the 40’s. I found the revival of this faux mode in Sao Paulo Brazil. Outdoor markets were filled with their modern versions. The dark bronze filigree and chains keeps the era while fire polished crystals connect to today's fashion trend.

When the porcelain roses found there way to me, I remembered a store display in Paris. A necklace of blown sculptured flowers and leaves of glass. This was a cutting edge design in the 80’s. A glass garden was my inspiration to create this pair. These are "show stoppers" and are fun to wear. Think having a garden tea internally.
