CELEBRATE FALL WITH MY “KAT’S RESTYLE EMPORIUM” FALL SEASONAL HAPPENING

For 30 years I’ve been a teacher, eclectic jewelry designer and collage artist, and now want to share design ideas, techniques and my years of collecting materials for sale for students. Classes will change as you grow in knowledge - each month a new seasonal style offering.

FALL COLOR AND STYLE KICKS OFF WITH MY AFRICAN AND PHILLIPINE BEAD TRUNK SHOW
OCTOBER 8, 10:30 - 2:00PM

A rich assortment of color, types, regions will be represented. Fabulous island heshi from Golden lip to branch corals, and urchin will bring the fire to your jewelry and the grounding to your fashion.

Mix in the African bronzes and metal beads you have an eclectic "stash" to create a casual to dressy fall look. Take it a step further...learn the symbolism of color and designs to wear your personal statement.

FUNK BRACELET FOR CASUAL WEAR

The charm bracelet is back with a new twist. Dust off those “Bits & Bobs”, and nostalgic precious treasures tucked away. Add new funk metals - make today’s statement, symbols of your life. Today’s trend: mix pearls with thimbles, beads with metals, wire costume jewelry, add old charms with hardware, stamp metals, add words. A fun class – caution you may get hooked.
AJA-1 LEARN: Wiring, joining, design, color combining, stamping, collageing forms, chaining
LEVEL: ALL, $20, basics supplied, plus cost of extras.

IMPRESSIONS OF THE SEA

Create my “Six-Sense Style” necklace. Connect to the emotional images of the sea. Start fresh or restyle a pre-owned necklace. Add shells, wood pieces, stones you have found with pearls, glass gems and your words stamped on clay. Create your own sea charms for recalling personal beach days. Make it elegant or everyday with mix’n match techniques. Now on runway trending for cruise wear, but not at your recycled price.

AJA-2 LEARN: Clay techniques , bead making, stringing, wiring, drilling, informal design, creating symbols for intentional connection. LEVEL: ALL, $20 plus my collection of extra “sea goodies ” to pick from.

HOME SWEET HOME

Everything in nature has a nest or a space to come home to. Recreate what home means by making a pendant. Assemble: wired natural objects, animal charms, painted metal with reposse’, beads, tassels, photos and your messages to create a home design of your choice. This is an exciting, thought provoking class.
AJM-4 LEARN: Mixing emotion with jewelry styles, photos, stamping metal , non-traditional hooking found objects (like keys), optional glass techniques. LEVEL: MEDIUM, Jewelry basics required. $20

GROUP FUN
SCHEDULE A “LUNCH & LEARN” EVENT

Ask about scheduling my “Ladies Play Day Party”. Add a brown bag lunch your pot luck even a birthday cake and make a day of fun exploring and creativity. Celebrate someone’s event in a unique way. Parties must be prepaid and scheduled a month in advance. $15 each, min. 4 people, Subject to open scheduled times. Saturday’s upon request.

FOR THE YOUTH - Have your teen and friends make a memory bracelet. They will make their own photo charms and use words that click for them. This is perfect for a tween or teen birthday party. Saturday’s are open.

SPECIAL: Prom is coming up: Make it really special, design your own jewelry to match your dress – elegant or modern cool. Don’t settle for store bought. Call for an appointment.
