PRESS RELEASE MARCH 10 2009
GREEN DESIGNING COMES TO FLORENCE/MAPLETON
The Mapleton Caffeination Station Café is proud to display Florence artist Kat Cunningham’s one woman show, “Nature’s Café” on Saturday, March 21st. Meet the artist for show and design clinic 10am to 2:30pm.
As an artist and product designer, Kat captures the fragility of our connection with plants and animals in her thought provoking art. Her art depicts how what we enjoy as beverages of the world have an impact on more than our tasting senses. From coffee’s rainforest creatures, the fading age of the Asian ceremonial tea, to a romantic fantasy tea setting of dragonflies, she freezes time for us to reflect our connection with nature. To Kat this message of harmonizing how we live with where we live is seen throughout her art work, and as a company philosophy. It isn’t merely an art show but her approach to live in balance as nature. Even choosing the MCS Café , a young growing green-designed business, blends the two owners’ philosophies to operate with sustainable business practices.
Free room design clinic
As an extra bonus, Kat will also debut her DVD at her art opening. Kat’s artistic view of nature and style as one is further demonstrated by the launch of her national DVD – Discovering Your “Signature Style”, Six-Sensually. This is a new home design movement bringing nature and the home owner together to achieve balance and comfort, creating “Feel Good” space. In keeping with her green philosophy, and shortening your gas footprint, she is treating her viewing guests to a FREE room design consultation/clinic. The DVD will be viewed separately as she tackles your individual room design questions with “Six-Sensual Style” answers. Her guests will see that anyone can achieve nature’s balance with this new design method. Whether you are an art lover, new home owner, redesigning to resell, or remodeling, her process of reusing what you already own brings nature back to the home. It promises to be easy, fun and affordable. She believes our homes need to be comforting and nurturing to fit our senses, from the art on the wall to the conscious way we use our décor – it needs to reflect who we are.The Mapelton Caffination Station is located in the center of the Mapleton shops – between Hwy126 and 36.
