SUGAR PLUM SHOW – LOTS NEW
Professional Show Developer Mickey Scheer and Pat Ryle Show Director have reported everything is going smoothly and way ahead of schedule. They have a great team who is carrying out their new vision of the show. We are pleased to have Mary Nulty, of her Creative Memories company, designing our show poster and materials. We are sure to get a wonderland themed look.
THIS YEAR’S SHOW HAS AMBIANCE
As you may have heard; the local church will not be doing its show this year. All of those vendors have been notified about us and are signing up fast. The goal this year is to have holiday ambience and a theme –
Santa’s Workshop.
* We are asking vendors to decorate their booths accordingly.
* The room décor is being developed already .
Pam Thompson and Barbara Chastain are our new decorator elves. They can use your help
* There will be wine tasting and entertainment holiday style roving around. Lit trees will add the sparkle to get
people in the mood. Lots of baked goodies to keep people happy – we need your food talents
No baskets to distract the buyers from you or asking for you to donate anything.
TO BUILD THE VIEWERS INTEREST, AND ATTRACT MORE ATTENTION TO YOUR BUYER, THERE IS A NEW MARKETING APPROACH.
Vendors are elves and workers at Santa’s Workshop. You can be working on your craft in your booth. This will be what makes our show unique. Everyone knows the buyer loves knowing about the product. Demonstrations of the crafts are a big draw. Ask the Renaissance Fair promoters. We need to get them to the coast in winter! This is a new marketing direction. Radio will promote that.

Grab your dirndle, lederhosen, and stein...
Florence Elks are sponsoring an Octoberfest type of event called Septoberfest - you guessed it, it's September 24TH, 2011.
This is a new venture for them and, to date, they will have 20, 8X8 booths available for a very reasonable fee. It is a one day show from 10am to 6pm. Florence has never had an Octoberfest. While the gents are drinking , the ladies will be shopping.
2 German Umpah bands, Authentic German food, Bier Garten tent, Exhibitors, who could resist this Fall festival. And for you "Chicken Dancers" Der Vogel Tantz (the bird dance) will be waiting for you. A comemorative stein will be given away every hour.
