WINTER HAIKU
December rose
pink with love
of light
and little bird
in naked tree.
THE BEAUTIFUL PLAN
Winter Air outside my window
hissing rain
traveling through it
on mission to Earth—
wetting grounds
setting up freeze
so bulbs and seeds
will pop
in time
to greet
the morning Sun
in Spring.
The Beautiful Plan
that always works
over and over
round and round
the circle
of our Mother
and her Seasons—
her Reasons—
we must take great Care
so the Beautiful Plan
will remain intact.
Let it Rain…

WEATHER HAIKU
Heavy clouds hover close
Impending rain
Sea birds wait to fly today.
SLOW TIME
It’s raining now
it has begun
the rhythm of living
now
slows
to watching winter’s weather
whether or not
we’re ready ~~
it’s time
to slow
way down.
Life gets slow
for me to know
what’s real
and what is not.
How I feel
and how I thought before
has changed
and not a lot
has as much
importance
as
the peace I feel
when I am here
Now.
